KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – During the regularly scheduled February meeting of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority’s Board of Commissioners, MKAA President William F. Marrison, A.A.E, submitted his notice of retirement effective December 31, 2018, after nearly 50 years in aviation and 36 years in MKAA leadership positions. Marrison is retiring for personal health reasons. 
The Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority owns and operates both McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) and Downtown Island Airport (DKX).
