If you’ve driven past the terminal recently, you’ve probably noticed something new towering over McGhee Tyson Airport — a tower crane. And eventually, we will have two tower cranes!
These cranes mark a major milestone in the construction of our new parking garage, which will add more parking capacity, enhance convenience, and prepare the airport for future growth. The cranes will be used for the vertical construction phase, meaning you’ll soon see the new structure start to take shape above ground.
The garage project is part of our broader commitment to improving the travel experience for passengers from start to finish — from easier parking to smoother roadway flow to a more seamless terminal experience.
Stay tuned — there’s so much more to come!
