WHAT: The Aviation Academy is a five-night program created to raise awareness of what it takes to successfully operate McGhee Tyson Airport and what crucial role the community plays in the flights and services available at the facility. Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at commercial, military and general aviation and will meet with key organizations that play a significant role in the day-to-day operations of the airport.

WHO: To be eligible for the Academy, participants must be a recognized business or community leader; 21 years or older; provide written consent to a criminal records check; and agree to attend all sessions of the Academy unless previously notifying staff.

WHEN: Five consecutive Wednesday evenings throughout April and May.

WHY: Aviation and Airport Operations are interesting! The Aviation Academy offers a behind-the-scenes look at commercial, military and general aviation.
