Beginning at 7pm on Thursday, May 15, until 2am on Friday, May 16, the main airport entrance off 129-South (Alcoa Highway) will be closed for construction. During this time, traffic will be redirected to the Hunt Road exit, with signs guiding drivers to the terminal building.

Also, the Alcoa Hwy South On-Ramp (ramp exiting the airport property going towards Blount County) is currently shut down for reconfiguration. Vehicles will be detoured via signage and will exit the airport through the Hunt Road Intersection. Click here to learn more.

From the North (I-75)

  1. I-75 southbound toward Knoxville.
  2. At the I-640 interchange, follow I-275 south.
  3. Continue for 2.5 miles, take I-40 west, and follow exit 386B to Alcoa Highway/US 129.
  4. Follow US 129 across Tennessee River, continue for approximately 12 miles to the Airport.

From Knoxville

Take I-40W to Exit #386B (129 South, Alcoa Highway, Airport, Smoky Mountains) approximately 12 miles.

From Nashville & Chattanooga

Take I-40E to #376B (Interstate 140) approximately 12 miles to Exit 11A (129 South) go 2 miles.The airport will be on the right.
