The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

“We are honored to receive this award and commend our internal staff and external auditors, Coulter & Justus, for consistently making it a priority to create an award-winning report that is both comprehensive and accurate in its presentation of our organization’s financial situation,” said Eddie Mannis, Chairman of the MKAA Board of Commissioners.

The GFOA also recognized Jennifer Whitaker, MKAA Controller. Whitaker joined MKAA in September 2017.  For her first year overseeing the development of the MKAA CAFR, she was presented an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement.
