As a Customer Service Representative for MKAA, this position assists airport tenants and passengers with customer service requests, including but not limited to, pushing of wheelchairs and use of airport passenger cart assistance, answering customer and visitor questions regarding the facility and its services; assists the Marketing and Public Relations Department with special events and logistics. Assists passengers and guests with information requests, including but not limited to, tourism, airport facilities, ground transportation, airlines, security, baggage issues, and directions. Responsible for maintaining information booth and tourism brochures, including monitoring inventory and stocking brochures. Our Custodians perform routine duties in the care, cleaning, and sanitization of the airport terminal building, facilities, and grounds.  They shovel snow and remove debris from airport grounds and use a variety of equipment, such as scrubbing machines and buffers.  He or she cleans floors, walls, fixtures, glass windows, doors, bathroom fixtures, and all other parts of the airport, and applies cleaning solutions, wax, and other chemicals in accordance with supervisor direction.  This position requires constant movement from one work location to another and standing tolerance with frequent bending, stooping, twisting, overhead reaching and lifting of up to 50 pounds.  As one of the customer-facing roles of the airport, our custodians actions help ensure the airport has a clean and inviting appearance to all who arrive here.

We are currently seeking a non-exempt Telecommunicator I to receive and dispatch communications by way of radio and telephone dispatch technology, to assist Public Safety personnel in responding to alarms at McGhee Tyson Airport. He or she receives routine and emergency telephone calls, and requests for assistance concerning crimes, fires, rescue needs, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) flight information, maintenance, parking services and general information, and determines priority, location, jurisdiction, action, and agency to dispatch. Our Telecommunicators monitor the Airport Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system, airport crash phone, and airport security system. They take appropriate actions depending on the nature of emergency and facilitate emergency notification of Airport Authority and off-airports emergency response agencies. Initiates work orders requested by Authority personnel and airport tenants.  They are responsible in facilitating 24-hour/7-days-a-week communication between Federal, State, and local agencies with Authority personnel, logs all communication into daily records, reports, audio and videotapes, and other recording mechanisms, as well as maintaining records, employee data, and emergency contacts.  This is a fully on-site position that may require overtime.

The Airfield Maintenance Technician I performs a variety of maintenance and repair activities for Airport Authority properties in the upkeep of airfields, including aircraft movement areas and access roads, terminal area roads and grounds, and other property and facilities. He or she conducts preventative maintenance on tools, as well as, light and heavy-duty equipment. They utilize equipment such as passenger vehicles, various sizes of trucks and trailers, on and off-road construction and specialty equipment, agricultural equipment, pavement maintenance and repair equipment, and commercial mowing equipment.  This position is also instrumental in shaping a positive impression of McGhee Tyson Airport for passengers and guests and anyone arriving on our grounds.
