Responsible for Project Management and Airport Operations & Maintenance Programs at McGhee Tyson and Downtown Island Airports including: 

  • Comprehensive planning, acquisition, and execution of short and long-term facility management, maintenance, repair and replacement programs and projects. 
  • Adapts or modifies procedures and practices concerning services, facilities, utility systems, buildings, equipment, or services. 
  • Develops and implements long range plans for the maintenance or repair of roofs, airfield pavements, baggage handling systems, passenger loading bridges, elevator/escalator systems, and other facility programs, components, elements and systems. 
  • Acts as focal point for acquisition of capital equipment including: Vehicles, airfield maintenance equipment, mowers, tractors, and facility systems. 
  • Acquires and monitors recurring services and preventative maintenance, repair and replacement services. 
  • Establishes and executes service contracts that may include but are not limited to custodial, waste removal, grounds keeping and other facility management services. 
  • Conducts facility surveys, and prepares prioritized plans and budgets for facility management programs. 
  • Coordinates or conducts owner acceptance training for new equipment and facility systems for the Operations & Maintenance Department. 
  • Serves as a liaison with tenants, the Airport Authorities Properties Management Function, and other agencies for facility or project issues. 
  • Acts as a technical resource for the Operations & Maintenance Department on projects, contracts, facility maintenance, repair and replacement issues. 
  • Monitors conditions of facilities and ensures programs and procedures are in place to provide clean, safe, and operable facilities. 
  • Acts as a Senior Airport Operations Department Staff Member for contingency and normal operations duties.
