February 6, 2024: Avelo Airlines announced today exclusive nonstop service between Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) and Southern Connecticut’s most convenient airport – Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN). Avelo is the first and only airline offering nonstop service between The Great Smoky Mountains and Southern Connecticut.
Beginning May 9, 2024, Avelo will operate this route twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, utilizing Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
