Each quarter, the flowers in the stream (in front of the TSA Security Checkpoint) are rotated seasonally to represent the flowers that are blooming in East Tennessee.
To assist with the summer flower installation, we are partnering with Special Growers, a nonprofit organization that employs local disabled adults. They work hard to harvest, prep, and deliver fresh herbs and fresh cut flowers to local restaurants and businesses.
They will be planting and maintaining the flowers in our stream from May to August. Along with their initial plant installation, they will also be maintaining the plants every week.
We celebrated their hard work by providing the Special Growers staff with a behind-the-scenes tour.
